Our Journey
Mae and Miko’s story began where hearts are lifted and prayers are heard at Shekinah Christian Community. Both served in the Praise and Worship team, Mae as a worship leader and Miko as a rhythm guitarist, unaware that God was already composing something beautiful through their shared devotion.
What started in church grew deeper in college, where they became schoolmates and part of the same circle of friends. Between classes, ministries, and long conversations over milk tea and coffee, friendship slowly blossomed.
In that season, both were praying—separately yet in faith. Miko was asking God to reveal the woman meant for him, while Mae was praying for the man God had prepared. In God’s perfect timing, Miko realized that the answer to his prayer was already standing before him. He chose courage, confessed his feelings, and after 11 months of waiting and prayer, Mae gave her yes.
After six years of a journey marked by faith, patience, and choosing purity, they now step into a new chapter, joining hands and hearts, ready to be united in marriage for God’s greater glory.
